WonderAtlas

Editorial standards

WonderAtlas is a discovery atlas, not a diary. We don’t invent trips, and we never claim a first-hand visit that didn’t happen.

Facts

Every fact on a destination page links to its source and shows the date we checked it. We prefer primary sources: UNESCO, national park authorities, official tourism and government bodies. Encyclopedic sources are used only for neutral reference data such as coordinates.

Prices, seasons and opening times

These change. We publish them only when we can cite a current official source, and we re-check them on a schedule. If a page says something is “still being verified”, that is exactly what it means.

Photography

We only use photos with a licence that allows publication (public domain, CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA) or our own commissioned work, and every image is credited on the page and on our credits page.

Advertising and affiliates

If we add advertising or affiliate links, they will be clearly disclosed and will never influence what we recommend.
