About WonderAtlas
Last updated: 21 October 2026
WonderAtlas is a field atlas of the planet’s most extraordinary places: natural wonders, unusual landscapes and remarkable destinations, for curious travellers.
How we work
- Sourced facts. Every fact on a destination page links to its source, with the date we checked it. We prefer primary sources such as UNESCO, national park authorities and official tourism bodies.
- No invented trips. We don’t write first-person travel stories. Our pages are researched guides, not diaries.
- Licensed photography. We use only photos whose licence allows publication (public domain, CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA) and credit every one on the page and on our Photo credits page.
- Honest gaps. If something (like seasonal advice) isn’t verified yet, the page says so.
- AI disclosure. Content is researched and drafted with AI assistance, then fact-checked against cited sources and reviewed before publication.
Who’s behind it
WonderAtlas is an independent project operated by Sait Naç, Türkiye.
